Liverpool FC will build a permanent memorial at Anfield honoring former forward Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva, who died in a car crash in northwestern Spain last year.

The heart-shaped sculpture, titled "Forever 20" after Jota's jersey number, has been retired across all club levels, including the women's and academy teams. The memorial also features Silva's number 30 shirt from his time with Penafiel in the Portuguese second division.

The club announced the memorial will sit on a Granby Rock-faced stone plinth, laser-engraved with a dedication to both brothers, incorporating physical tributes left at Anfield.

Jota helped Liverpool win the Premier League, FA Cup in 2022, and League Cup in 2022 and 2024. He scored 65 goals in 182 appearances.

The club honored Jota with a minute's silence before the 2026 Premier League season opener against Bournemouth.
