LOS ANGELES -- Organizers of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics announced a second public ticket sale scheduled for August 10-20. This move follows a highly successful initial release that moved more than 4 million tickets globally.
Local demand drove the first phase, with residents of Los Angeles and Oklahoma City purchasing nearly 75 percent of available inventory. High-affinity items saw rapid uptake, including approximately 500,000 tickets priced at $28 and 95 percent of all options under $100.
The upcoming sale will offer remaining inventory across all Olympic sports and price points. Participation requires registration by July 22 for a randomized draw. Selected buyers will receive notification and specific purchase time slots between August 6-7.
Visa cardholders will have exclusive early access during a presale window from July 29-31. Note that participants selected for the Visa presale are ineligible for the subsequent public draw.
Purchase limits remain strict to ensure broad access: buyers may secure up to 12 Olympic event tickets and an additional 12 soccer tournament tickets. A four-ticket cap applies to opening and closing ceremonies, counting toward the overall Olympic maximum.
The initial release demonstrated significant international interest, with tickets claimed by fans in 85 countries and all 50 U.S. states. The 2028 Games will mark Los Angeles' third time hosting the Olympics, following the 1932 and 1984 editions.
