EDMONTON - Connor McDavid recorded a goal and two assists to reclaim the NHL scoring lead as the Edmonton Oilers defeated the Anaheim Ducks 4-2.

Zach Hyman contributed a goal and an assist, while Jack Roslovic and Matthew Savoie also scored for the Oilers, who secured their third consecutive victory.

Edmonton trails the Pacific Division leaders by three points after going 1-9-2 in their prior 12 games. The team is now 27-5-5 when scoring first this season.

Leon Draisaitl remains sidelined with a lower-body injury.

For Anaheim, Beckett Sennecke and Cutter Gauthier scored as the Ducks’ four-game win streak came to an end.

Connor Ingram made 27 saves for the win, while Lukas Dostal stopped 30 shots for the Ducks.

McDavid’s second-period goal marked his fourth straight game with a score and pushed him past Nikita Kucherov in points. He leads the league with 31 goals since December 1.

Evan Bouchard added two assists, extending his point streak against Anaheim to 11 games. The 26-year-old defenseman leads all NHL blueliners with 86 points this season.

The Oilers improved to 8-0-2 at home against Pacific Division opponents despite struggling overall at Rogers Place.

Anaheim returns home to face the Toronto Maple Leafs on Monday. Edmonton hosts the Seattle Kraken on Tuesday.
