Pro Football Hall of Famer Michael Irvin is defending New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel and former The Athletic reporter Dianna Russini amid recent public scrutiny.

Irvin says critics should look inward before judging others. "We all want to jump in personal lives," Irvin said on The Ariel Helwani Show. "Dude, if I just get a peek at your history, I'm sure it'll tell me something."

The Dallas Cowboys legend emphasized that people don't know what others are dealing with. "Life happens," he said. "We're trying to use people in football to be the measuring stick for all the righteousness."

Vrabel, married since 1999, and Russini, married since 2020, were photographed holding hands at a luxury hotel in Arizona. Vrabel called the interaction "completely innocent." Russini has since resigned from The Athletic, and Vrabel stepped away from the Patriots during the NFL Draft to seek counseling.
