Catalina Mancera, the girlfriend of late Dallas Cowboys defensive end Marshawn Kneeland, has shared a heartfelt message of gratitude after a baby shower celebrating their unborn daughter.
Kneeland died by suicide in November 2025 following a police chase in Texas. He was 24 years old and had just scored his first NFL touchdown days before his death. Mancera's due date is in June.
"Words can’t explain how thankful I am for the people God has placed in my life," Mancera wrote on Instagram. "In such a hard season, the love and support surrounding me have made everything feel a little brighter."
The Cowboys organization and head coach Brian Schottenheimer have established a memorial fund and a scholarship for Kneeland's daughter, ensuring she is supported for life.
Kneeland was a second-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft and played 18 games for Dallas.
