VANCOUVER - Bobby McMann made an immediate impact in his first game with the Seattle Kraken, scoring two goals and adding an assist in a 5-2 victory over the Vancouver Canucks.
The 29-year-old forward, acquired from the Toronto Maple Leafs ahead of the trade deadline, tallied his 20th goal of the season on a power-play tip-in early in the first period, then added another in the third to become the first Kraken player to score multiple goals in a debut.
Head coach Lane Lambert praised McMann’s speed and playmaking, while teammates Matty Beniers and Jordan Eberle noted his physical presence and chemistry on the top line.
The win snapped Seattle’s four-game losing streak and moved the Kraken within one point of the Western Conference second wild-card spot.
