Major League Baseball (MLB) announced a new 'integrity protection' agreement with the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and selected Polymarket as its official prediction market exchange.
Commissioner Robert Manfred stated the deals are critical steps in managing the growing prediction market space. The agreements come amid increased scrutiny of platforms like Polymarket and Kalshi from lawmakers and regulators.
The baseball season starts March 26, with Polymarket already listing event contracts for spring training games.
