Mark Scheifele scored his third goal of the game in overtime, lifting Canada to a 6-5 win over Norway at the world hockey championship on Thursday.
Scheifele's winner came off a three-way passing play from Evan Bouchard and Macklin Celebrini. He also had an assist for a four-point game. Winnipeg Jets teammate Gabriel Vilardi added a goal and an assist, while Dylan Cozens also scored. Bouchard had three assists.
Norway held a 5-4 lead midway through the third period after goals from Noah Steen and Tinus Luc Koblar. Canada pulled goalie Cam Talbot with 2:15 remaining, and Ryan O'Reilly tied it to force overtime. Talbot allowed five goals on 19 shots. Norway's Tobias Normann made 36 saves.
Steen scored twice for Norway, with Eskild Bakke Olsen and Johannes Johannesen also tallying.
Canada leads Group B with 11 points and faces Slovenia next.
