The Toronto Maple Leafs are shaking up their front office after missing the playoffs. According to multiple reports, the team has named franchise legend Mats Sundin as senior executive adviser of hockey operations and hired John Chayka as general manager.

Sundin, the team's former captain and all-time leading scorer, returns to the organization after 13 years away. Chayka, 36, previously served as the youngest GM in NHL history with the Arizona Coyotes and is known for his analytics-driven approach.

Both moves come as the Maple Leafs continue their search for a first Stanley Cup since 1967. A formal press conference is expected Monday.
