Netflix will broadcast the Canadian Formula One Grand Prix live to U.S. viewers in May. This is part of a deal making season eight of its hit docu-series 'Drive to Survive' available on Apple TV.
Apple TV is now the exclusive U.S. broadcaster for Formula One, covering all 24 rounds this season. Season eight of 'Drive to Survive', featuring the 2025 campaign, launches globally on Friday.
Eddy Cue, Apple's Senior Vice-President of Services, stated that select races and practice sessions will also be offered for free on Apple TV+ throughout the season. He described the partnership as amplifying the sport across all Apple services.
Formula One's Chief Media Rights and Broadcast Officer, Ian Holmes, highlighted the growing and diversifying U.S. audience, calling the relationship with Apple the "next big iteration" in broadcasting.
