Lewis Hamilton delivered an emotional performance at the Circuit de Catalunya, securing his first victory with Ferrari and ending a significant drought for the Italian marque. At 41, the seven-time world champion became Formula One’s oldest winner since Jack Brabham in 1970, marking his 106th career triumph.

The race dynamics shifted dramatically in the closing stages when Mercedes rookie Kimi Antonelli, the championship leader, suffered an electrical failure while running second. This retirement slashed Antonelli’s points lead over Hamilton to 41, marking the teenager's first setback of a dominant season.

George Russell finished second for Mercedes after starting on pole, while McLaren’s Lando Norris took third. The result created the first all-British podium since the 1968 US Grand Prix. Hamilton credited the Ferrari team in Maranello for helping him achieve this long-held dream, noting that while Mercedes retains strong pace, his team is committed to closing the performance gap.

Red Bull’s Max Verstappen finished fourth, followed by Oscar Piastri and Isack Hadjar. Hamilton’s Ferrari teammate, Charles Leclerc, retired due to power steering issues.
