Norway has officially broken its own record for the most gold medals won at a single Winter Olympics. The historic 17th gold was secured by Johannes Dale-Skjevdal in the men's 15-kilometer mass start biathlon race, hitting all 20 targets.

Dale-Skjevdal's flawless performance saw him finish in 39 minutes, 17.1 seconds. His teammate, Sturla Holm Laegreid, claimed silver, just 10.5 seconds behind. This surpasses Norway's previous record of 16 gold medals set at the 2022 Beijing Olympics. Norway currently leads the overall medal count with 37, followed by the United States with 27.
