The NFL is rolling out the 2026 regular season schedule in stages, with several high-profile games now confirmed ahead of Thursday's full release.
Week 1: Seahawks on Wednesday, Sept. 9 The Seattle Seahawks will open the season on a Wednesday, the first such occurrence since 2012. They host the defending champions, with potential opponents including the New England Patriots (Super Bowl LX rematch), Kansas City Chiefs, Chicago Bears, Los Angeles Chargers, or Arizona Cardinals.
Week 1: 49ers vs. Rams in Australia The San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams will play the NFL's first regular-season game in Australia on Sept. 11 (local time), kicking off at 10:35 a.m. AEST, which is 8:35 p.m. ET on Thursday, Sept. 10 in the U.S.
Week 1: Cowboys at Giants (Sunday Night) The Dallas Cowboys visit the New York Giants on Sept. 13. It's John Harbaugh's debut as Giants head coach, with rookie QB Jaxson Dart facing Dak Prescott. This game also features the NFL debuts of Giants LB Arvell Reese (5th pick) and Cowboys S Caleb Downs (11th pick).
Week 1: Bills Open New Stadium vs. Lions (Thursday Night) The Buffalo Bills will play their first game at the new Highmark Stadium in Week 2 against the Detroit Lions. It's also the first home game for new head coach Joe Brady.
Week 3: Ravens vs. Cowboys in Brazil The Baltimore Ravens and Dallas Cowboys will play in the NFL's first game in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday, Sept. 27.
Week 12: Cowboys Host Eagles on Thanksgiving The Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys will meet on Thanksgiving Day for the first time since 2015.
