Australia will bid for a record-extending seventh Women's Twenty20 World Cup title against England at Lord's on Sunday.

Both teams enter the final unbeaten. Australia advanced with a perfect six-win campaign under new captain Sophie Molineux, dispatching West Indies in the semi-final. The squad has focused on depth, with Ellyse Perry securing three player-of-the-match awards.

"We’re not relying on one or two people. In those big moments, different people are standing up," said all-rounder Ashleigh Gardner.

England reached their first final since 2018 with a dominant semi-final win over South Africa. Danni Wyatt-Hodge leads tournament run-scorers, while Sophie Ecclestone anchors the bowling attack.

Captain Nat Sciver-Brunt acknowledged the challenge. England have not beaten Australia in any format since July 2023, suffering eight consecutive defeats including an Ashes whitewash.

Victory for Australia would reinforce their dynasty. For England, it would be a home triumph ending a 17-year wait for a second title.
