Construction has officially begun on the cricket stadium destined for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games. The sport will mark its return to the Olympics after a 128-year absence.

The temporary venue, located at the Fairgrounds in Pomona, Southern California, will host the 20-overs format competitions for both men's and women's events, each featuring six teams. The International Cricket Council (ICC) stated the venue will also host three Major League Cricket matches from July 1 to 5.
