NEWTOWN SQUARE, Pennsylvania - The 2025 PGA Championship began Thursday under cloudy skies at Aronimink Golf Club. Rory McIlroy, fresh off his Masters win, teed off alongside Jordan Spieth and Jon Rahm. Spieth needs this win to complete the career grand slam.
Scottie Scheffler, seeking his fifth major title and first back-to-back PGA Championship win since 2019, tees off later with Justin Rose and Matt Fitzpatrick. Brooks Koepka, in his second major start since leaving LIV, is also in contention.
Bryson DeChambeau, runner-up in the last two editions, is in the field alongside fellow LIV players. Xander Schauffele, the 2024 champion, plays alongside Koepka and Tyrrell Hatton.
