Pep Guardiola will reportedly leave Manchester City this summer after a decade-long, trophy-laden tenure. Enzo Maresca, the former Chelsea manager, is expected to replace him.
Guardiola's decision follows the club's recent FA Cup victory-his 20th major trophy since 2016. Though his contract runs through 2027, he is expected to step down after the final two matches against Bournemouth and Aston Villa.
Maresca, 46, already knows the club well, having coached the Under-21s and served as Guardiola's assistant in 2022-23. He recently led Chelsea to Champions League qualification, a Club World Cup, and a Conference League title before leaving in January.
The transition comes at a pivotal moment for City. The club awaits a verdict on over 115 alleged breaches of Premier League financial regulations. Additionally, former director of football Txiki Begiristain left last season, signaling a new era.
City currently trails Arsenal by two points with two games left, giving Guardiola a chance to finish on top.
