US captain Christian Pulisic has returned to the pitch. The AC Milan star entered as a substitute in the 58th minute of the World Cup group stage finale against Turkey at SoFi Stadium.

This marked his first appearance since suffering a left calf injury during the tournament opener against Paraguay. He had missed the subsequent match against Australia entirely.

The match itself was a dead rubber for standings, with the USMNT having already clinched first place in Group D. Both teams used rotated lineups.

Pulisic’s return is critical for the knockout rounds. As the team's creative engine, his fitness is central to the US ambition as co-hosts of the expanded 48-team 2026 World Cup.
