Dave Rennie has been appointed the new head coach of the All Blacks, succeeding Scott Robertson. Rennie, a former Wallabies coach, faces the immediate challenge of leading New Zealand to a fourth World Cup title in Australia next year.

New Zealand Rugby confirmed Rennie's appointment, citing his proven track record in building strong performance environments. He has signed a contract through the end of the 2027 World Cup. Rennie previously coached the Waikato Chiefs to back-to-back Super Rugby titles in 2012 and 2013.

Robertson stepped down following a review of the team's performance last season, which included losses to South Africa, Argentina, and England.

Rennie expressed his pride and understanding of the expectations for the role, stating his commitment to developing a style of rugby that represents New Zealand's identity. He also highlighted the wealth of talent within the team and his dedication to making the country proud.
