Manchester City midfielder Rodri is in a race to be fit for Saturday's Premier League clash with Brentford, as the hosts look to keep pressure on leaders Arsenal.

Rodri suffered a groin injury against Arsenal last month. In his absence, City beat Burnley but drew at Everton, leaving them five points behind Arsenal with a game in hand.

"He still doesn't feel completely comfortable," manager Pep Guardiola said. Defenders Josko Gvardiol and Ruben Dias have returned to training after long injury layoffs.

Guardiola, who has led City to six titles since 2016, aims to capitalize on three remaining home games. "I love to play at home. Hopefully the fans can put pressure on Arsenal," he said.

City are unbeaten in the league since January. Brentford, one point behind sixth-placed Bournemouth, have lost only one of their last eight games as they chase a first European berth.
