The Los Angeles Rams are making a final push, extending quarterback Matthew Stafford and stunning the league by acquiring reigning Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett.
The blockbuster trade sparked rumors that three-time Defensive Player of the Year Aaron Donald might return. Former Rams tackle Andrew Whitworth told Fox News Digital he's keeping tabs. 'I shoot him a little text every now and then trying to get a feel. I would love to see it. It'd be super exciting,' Whitworth said. 'I hope he gets the itch ... hoping he does it.'

Even without Donald, Garrett's arrival has energized the team. Whitworth, who has spoken with Garrett, says the defensive end already senses the unique culture. 'I think you'll see an even more invigorated, excited, amped-up version of Myles Garrett,' Whitworth said. 'He'll be one of the reasons they win.'
Off the field, Whitworth is counting down days to the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe, a week that reminds him of the competitive nerves he once felt on the gridiron.
