Rory McIlroy, the reigning Masters champion, is curating his first Champions Dinner for the 2025 tournament. The menu reflects a blend of personal and professional influences.
Appetizers include rock shrimp tempura, peach and ricotta flatbread, bacon-wrapped dates, and elk sliders with caramelized onion jam and roasted garlic aioli. The first course features yellowfin tuna carpaccio, inspired by his favorite New York City restaurant, Le Bernardin.
The main course offers wagyu filet mignon or seared salmon, accompanied by traditional Irish champ potatoes and crispy Vidalia onion rings. Dessert is sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream and warm toffee sauce.
McIlroy’s wine selection includes a 2022 Domaine Leflaive and a 1990 Château Lafite, both from Augusta National’s impressive wine cellar. The dinner is set for April 7, with the Masters tournament beginning on April 9.
McIlroy aims to defend his first Masters title, having become the sixth golfer to complete the career Grand Slam.
