RABAT, March 19: Moroccan fans celebrated their team's controversial Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) title. CAF ruled Senegal forfeited the January 18 final in Rabat due to a protest walkout, reversing the 1-0 extra-time victory. Senegal is appealing to CAS. Reactions were mixed, with pride but caution regarding the pending appeal. Moroccan fans praised the decision, while others remained cautious.

"The decision was taken firmly, and the national team and the Moroccan people deserve this victory," said Abdelmalek Hamza, a fan in Casablanca.

Senegal's fans on social media ridiculed the decision. CAF President Patrice Motsepe defended the ruling.
