The Confederation of African Football has officially stripped Senegal of the Africa Cup of Nations title following severe misconduct during the tournament final.
The CAF Appeal Board declared Senegal forfeited the match, recording the result as a 3-0 victory for tournament hosts Morocco.
Chaos erupted at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat when fans stormed the pitch. Senegalese players walked off in protest after a penalty was awarded to Morocco in the 98th minute.
Although players returned to win the game 1-0 on the field, FIFA President Gianni Infantino condemned the unacceptable scenes involving supporters and staff.
The Royal Moroccan Football Federation indicated it would pursue legal action regarding the walk-off's impact on the match.
