South African cricketers Quinton de Kock and David Miller are questioning the International Cricket Council (ICC) after England departed for home on a charter flight, while their own team and the West Indies remain stranded. Disruptions to commercial flights in the Gulf region, due to the Iran conflict, have impacted travel for teams eliminated from the Twenty20 World Cup.

De Kock voiced his concerns on Instagram, stating, "Funny @icc, we have heard nothing! Meanwhile, England are leaving before us somehow? @westindies and @proteasmencsa are just in the dark." Teammate David Miller echoed the sentiment, noting the disparity in treatment: "Funny that England gets eliminated after WI & SA and gets on a charter back home tonight. While WI & SA still wait for answers in Kolkata."

West Indies head coach Daren Sammy supported Miller's statement, and former England captain Michael Vaughan also commented on the discrepancy, suggesting that power dynamics unfairly influence team treatment. The ICC has not yet responded to requests for comment.
