Tech giant Sea announced a S$50 million donation to support long-term football development in Singapore. The Singapore-based company will disburse S$40 million for initiatives broadening participation and strengthening development pathways.
The remaining S$10 million was already contributed to the Football Association of Singapore at the start of 2026. Sea CEO Forrest Li, who also serves as FAS president, emphasized football's role in community building.
Sea has invested in Singapore's football ecosystem for over a decade. In 2020, the company acquired Home United, renaming it Lion City Sailors. The team reached the 2024 AFC Champions League Two final.
This donation builds on Sea's previous S$50 million gift to National University of Singapore in 2021 for computing research and education. The tech firm called for other philanthropic partners to support Singapore football advancement.
