Manager Arne Slot believes Liverpool can achieve "something special" as they aim to overcome a 2-0 Champions League quarter-final deficit against Paris St Germain at Anfield.
Despite a difficult domestic season, the Champions League represents Liverpool's last realistic chance for silverware after early exits from the League Cup and FA Cup.
Slot acknowledged the challenge but reminded his team of the 2-0 scoreline from the first leg, noting the match felt different. He highlighted Liverpool's history of producing great performances in big games.
"Yes, there is belief we can do something special tomorrow, but we need to be very, very, very special to achieve that," Slot stated. "We are playing the champions of Europe, which makes the task more difficult - but not impossible."
The manager indicated the tactical approach at Anfield would not drastically differ from the first leg in Paris, emphasizing a need to take risks and press the opponent to regain possession.
Anfield's historic capacity for European comebacks, citing the 2019 semi-final win against Barcelona, was also highlighted. Slot stressed the crucial role of the home crowd in influencing the match, urging fans to create an even louder atmosphere.
