Najmul Hossain Shanto scored a timely century and Mustafizur Rahman took five wickets, securing a 55-run victory for Bangladesh over New Zealand in the third ODI. This win completed a 2-1 series triumph for the hosts.

Bangladesh set New Zealand a target of 266. Shanto's patient 105 and Litton Das's 76 formed the backbone of the innings. Despite a strong position in their chase, New Zealand was bowled out for 210.

Nick Kelly's 59 offered hope for the tourists but he fell to Rahman (5-43). Rahman then took charge, ensuring victory despite a late effort from Dean Foxcroft (75).

New Zealand initially had Bangladesh struggling at 32-3 after Will O'Rourke took three early wickets. However, Shanto and Das forged a crucial 160-run partnership to stabilize the innings.

Bangladesh finished at 265-8, with contributions from Towhid Hridoy (33) and Mehidy Hasan Miraz (22).

Bangladesh won the series opener by 26 runs, with New Zealand taking the second match. The teams are set to play three Twenty20 Internationals next.
