The Toronto Blue Jays solidified their leadership on Monday by extending contracts for General Manager Ross Atkins and Manager John Schneider. Atkins’ new five-year deal runs through 2031, while Schneider’s extends to 2028.

These extensions follow a successful 2025 season where the Blue Jays won 94 games, clinched the American League East title, and advanced to the World Series, ultimately losing to the Los Angeles Dodgers in seven games.

Schneider, 46, has led the Blue Jays to a 303-257 record since taking over in July 2022, including a wild-card berth in his first partial season. He expressed his enthusiasm for continuing to lead the team and the organization’s commitment to bringing a championship to Toronto.

Atkins, 52, joined the Blue Jays in 2015 and has overseen five postseason appearances. His tenure includes a significant rebuild and the signing of franchise cornerstone Vladimir Guerrero Jr. to a 14-year, $500 million contract in 2025.
