Tom Brady, now a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, recently explored the possibility of coming out of retirement to play again-but the NFL shot down the idea.

Brady confirmed he reached out to league officials, saying, "They don’t like that idea very much." The 48-year-old emphasized he is happily retired despite turning heads at the recent Fanatics Flag Football Classic, where he threw for 85 yards and two touchdowns.

An NFL spokesperson stated that league policy prohibits players or team employees from holding equity in a club-a rule established in 2023. Brady would have to sell his 5% stake to return as a player.

Additional complications include potential salary cap implications for a player-owner. Brady called the flag football experience nostalgic but reaffirmed his decision: "That game reconfirmed to me that I’m very happy in retirement."
