American freestyle skier Mac Forehand won a silver medal for Team USA in the men’s Big Air final, narrowly missing gold to Norway’s Tormod Frostad.
Frostad led for much of the competition, but Forehand briefly took the lead on his second-to-last jump with a score of 98.25.

Forehand’s impressive run included a nose butter triple cork 2160. However, Frostad responded with a near-perfect final run, scoring 195.50 to secure the gold.
Austria’s Matej Svancer took the bronze medal with a score of 191.25.

Defending champion Birk Ruud of Norway finished in 8th place after crashing on two of his jumps.
Forehand’s silver medal marks a significant achievement for the U.S. in the freeski and snowboarding park events.

He previously competed in the men’s freeski slopestyle, finishing 11th.
