TORONTO - The Toronto Raptors have halted their slide. Brandon Ingram scored 34 points, leading Toronto to a 119-108 victory over the Detroit Pistons on Sunday. This marks the franchise's second consecutive win, following a triumph over the Phoenix Suns.
Ingram noted the team is finally aligning defensively and offensively after losing four of five prior games. The win improves Toronto's record to 38-29, moving them up to sixth place in the Eastern Conference standings, just half a game ahead of Miami.
We went through a little rough patch... but we found it, Ingram said.
Head coach Darko Rajakovic cited full health from key players RJ Barrett and Jakob Poeltl as pivotal to the turnaround. Barrett contributed 27 points, while Poeltl recorded a season-high 18 rebounds after missing 35 games with a lower back injury.
The Raptors now sit atop the play-in bracket, aiming to solidify their playoff positioning before the postseason begins.
