Tiger Woods made his long-awaited return to competitive golf Tuesday-but not with a win. His Jupiter Links Golf Club fell 9-2 to the Los Angeles Golf Club in the TGL Finals in Florida.

The 50-year-old, sidelined since missing the 2024 British Open cut and recovering from multiple surgeries-including a ruptured Achilles and lumbar disk replacement-played alongside teammates Max Homa and Tom Kim in the tech-driven indoor league he co-founded with Rory McIlroy.

Jupiter Links led 2-0 early in the decisive second match but collapsed after Los Angeles posted three straight eagles, sealing the championship.

"I’m frustrated we didn’t get it done," Woods said. "It feels good to be back, but I would’ve liked better circumstances."

Woods reaffirmed his desire to compete at the April 9 Masters in Augusta-a tournament he’s won five times-but offered no firm commitment. "This body doesn’t recover like it did at 25," he admitted. "But I keep trying. I love the tournament. I’ll be there either way."
