Marie-Louise Eta, the Bundesliga's first female head coach, secured her first victory on Sunday as Union Berlin defeated Mainz 05, 3-1.

Eta took over as interim manager in April after Steffen Baumgart was dismissed, facing derogatory comments on social media. She will lead the team for the rest of the season before moving to the women's side next year.

After two defeats and a draw, Eta told broadcaster DAZN she was thrilled to finally win. "We have invested a lot. So it's great that we could get the three points here today, and show a good performance. That's important for me, too," she said.

Union Berlin closes its season on Saturday against Augsburg.
