Union Berlin has appointed Marie-Louise Eta as interim head coach for the remainder of the season. This move follows the dismissal of Steffen Baumgart after a recent 3-1 defeat dropped the club to 11th place in the Bundesliga standings.
Eta, who previously made history as the first female assistant coach in the German top flight and the first woman to lead a Bundesliga team from the touchline, will now helm the club on an interim basis.
