Venice turned its historic canals into a floating amphitheatre on Saturday as Venezia celebrated their promotion to Serie A with a traditional gondola parade.

The Serie B champions secured an immediate return to Italy's top flight after a one-season absence, clinching the title Friday with a 2-0 win over Palermo.

Players and staff traveled through the canals aboard a lead gondola, flanked by supporters in rowing boats and private vessels, waving flags and setting off smoke flares.

The celebrations culminated at Piazza San Marco, where the squad presented the Serie B trophy to a capacity crowd.
