Vancouver is transforming into a hub for global football as the city prepares to host key matches for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Starting Friday, June 12, fans can gather at designated free fan zones throughout Metro Vancouver to watch Canada’s matches against Bosnia and Herzegovina and beyond.
The primary venue is Hastings Park in Vancouver, hosting events from June 11 through July 19. The atmosphere promises high-energy viewing with both free admission and ticketed seating options available for premium experiences.
North Vancouver will see action at The Shipyards, specifically the Canada Soccer House, running concurrent dates. Similarly, Surrey Civic Plaza will offer a full fan zone experience, while Coquitlam schedules specific community viewings at Blue Mountain Park for the summer kickoff and Town Centre Park for Canada Day celebrations.
Further south, Burnaby’s Brentwood Plaza and TABLES Lounge will serve as central gathering spots. Richmond plans multiple events featuring live entertainment and food trucks, culminating at Aberdeen Neighbourhood Park on July 19. New Westminster, Maple Ridge, Delta, and Langley are also coordinating local watch parties at parks and civic plazas, ensuring city-wide coverage of the tournament.
All listed venues maintain free admission policies, emphasizing community engagement with the sport's culture. Organizers have confirmed that these locations will remain active throughout the tournament's duration, providing accessible spaces for residents to support Team Canada.
