West Ham United has advanced to the FA Cup quarter-finals after defeating Brentford 5-3 in a penalty shootout. The match, held on Monday, ended 2-2 after regular time and extra time.

Jarrod Bowen scored twice for West Ham, giving them the lead in the 19th minute and again from a penalty in the 34th minute. Brentford equalized both times, first through Nathan Collins' header and then from a penalty scored by Igor Thiago in the 84th minute.

In the shootout, Brentford's Dango Outtara missed a crucial penalty, striking the crossbar. Konstantinos Mavropanos ultimately scored the winning penalty for West Ham, securing their place in the last eight. West Ham will host Leeds United in the next round.
