Wales coach Steve Tandy has kept a consistent starting XV for their final Six Nations Championship match at home against Italy on Saturday. The team aims to end a 15-game losing streak in the competition.
Despite recent losses, Wales showed improved performances against Ireland and Scotland. Tandy opted for continuity, rewarding the players who competed in Dublin.
The halfback pairing consists of Dan Edwards and scrumhalf Tomos Williams. Joe Hawkins and Eddie James will play in the midfield, supported by wings Josh Adams and Ellis Mee, and fullback Louis Rees-Zammit.
Captain Dewi Lake leads the front row with props Rhys Carre and Tomas Francis. Dafydd Jenkins and Ben Carter are the lock pairing, with Aaron Wainwright, Alex Mann, and James Botham forming the loose trio.
Tandy stated, "Having an unchanged team, I think it reflects the cohesion and the consistency in the group and the consistency of performance out in Ireland." He added, "This week we need to go up another level. Now it's putting it all together and creating our best performance this weekend."
Italy has a strong recent record against Wales, winning their last two visits to Cardiff and three of their previous four tests. Italy enters this match following a historic win over England.
