Arsenal midfielder Martin Zubimendi has withdrawn from the Spain national squad due to knee pain, marking the 10th senior player to return to the Premier League leaders during the international break.

The 27-year-old midfielder left Spain's camp after experiencing discomfort in his right knee following the team's 3-0 victory over Serbia on Friday. The Spanish Football Federation confirmed the release, citing player health protection.

Zubimendi joins several other Arsenal players who have returned from international duty, including England stars Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice and Noni Madueke. The club currently holds a nine-point lead over Manchester City in the Premier League.

Arsenal faces a crucial April with an FA Cup quarter-final against Southampton, Champions League quarter-final versus Sporting Portugal, and a pivotal league clash against Manchester City remaining ahead.
