Amazon CEO Andy Jassy told employees in an internal all-hands meeting that artificial intelligence could propel Amazon Web Services to $600 billion in annual revenue by 2036-double his earlier projection of $300 billion.
Jassy said he’d previously estimated AWS would reach a $300 billion annual run rate in about 10 years. "What's happening in AI," he added, "gives AWS a chance to be at least double that."
AWS generated $128.7 billion in revenue in 2025, up 19% year-over-year. The new target implies nearly 17% compound annual growth through 2036.
Amazon shares rose 1% to $213.87 following the disclosure.
