SAN JOSE, California - Solidigm senior vice president Greg Matson warned AI demand will tighten solid state drive supplies through 2030.

Speaking at Nvidia's developer conference, Matson stated AI systems launching later this year require 35% more storage. "We'll expand manufacturing, but can we keep up? No," he said. "I could sell twice as much as I am today."

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang echoed the pressure: "The storage system is going to get pounded."
