Amazon is launching 1-hour and 3-hour delivery options in cities across the United States, including Los Angeles, Chicago, and Boise, intensifying its competition with Walmart.
The service covers more than 90,000 products-ranging from toys to toilet paper-and leverages Amazon’s existing same-day delivery network. In select areas, perishable groceries are also available.
Prime members pay $9.99 for 1-hour delivery and $4.99 for 3-hour service. Non-Prime shoppers pay $19.99 and $14.99 respectively.
To streamline rapid fulfillment, Amazon has introduced dedicated workstations, yellow-labeled packages, and updated signage in its delivery centers.
The move follows Amazon’s December launch of “Amazon Now,” offering 30-minute grocery deliveries in cities like Seattle and Philadelphia.
