A new enterprise AI services company backed by Blackstone, Anthropic, and Hellman & Friedman has selected Fractional AI as its operational core. The venture, targeting over $1.5 billion, aims to deploy Anthropic's AI tools across private equity portfolio companies, creating a vertically integrated AI deployment machine.

Fractional AI, which raised $5 million in seed funding in 2022 and acquired Y Combinator startup Fabius in February 2026, will handle the customized implementation work while Anthropic provides the foundational models. The PE firms offer a ready-made roster of companies eager for efficiency gains.

This partnership represents a significant bet on distribution and implementation over pure model intelligence, with Fractional AI's bespoke approach seen as key to cracking enterprise AI deployment at scale.
