Anthropic has launched Claude Opus 4.7, its newest flagship AI model. This latest version offers enhanced performance in advanced software engineering, complex multistep tasks, and professional knowledge work, building on the capabilities of Opus 4.6.

The model is now available across all Anthropic Claude products, its API, and through major cloud platforms including Amazon Bedrock, Google Cloud Vertex AI, and Microsoft Foundry. Pricing remains unchanged.

Opus 4.7 demonstrates improved instruction following, handles long-running tasks with greater precision, and offers enhanced high-resolution vision support, processing images up to 2,576 pixels on the long edge. Anthropic's internal testing shows superior results compared to Opus 4.6 in coding, finance, document analysis, and agent-style workflows. A new 'xhigh effort' setting aims to balance reasoning depth with latency. The company also notes that Opus 4.7 may follow instructions more literally, potentially altering prompt behavior.

This release follows Anthropic's introduction of Claude Mythos Preview and incorporates new safeguards designed to detect and block high-risk cyber requests, preceding a broader release of the Mythos class.
