A humanoid robot developed in China has broken the human world record for a half-marathon. The robot, built by Honor, completed the 21-kilometer race in Beijing in 50 minutes and 26 seconds. This surpasses the previous human record of approximately 57 minutes.

Dozens of humanoid robots participated alongside human runners on a separate course. The winning robot demonstrated a significant improvement from last year's event, where the fastest robot finished in over two hours. Many robots utilized autonomous navigation, though some experienced issues during the race.

The winning robot featured long legs and advanced cooling systems to maintain performance. Engineers believe technologies from this race could be applied to industrial scenarios.

Spectators expressed awe at the rapid progress of robotics. Experts note this event highlights China's increasing investment in robotics and artificial intelligence, a key component of its economic strategy.
