Crypto.com has partnered with KG Inicis-the largest payment gateway and value-added network provider in South Korea-to enable cryptocurrency payments for foreign tourists.

The collaboration introduces Crypto.com Pay, a dedicated app allowing travelers to spend digital assets on everyday goods and services at merchants and e-commerce platforms integrated with KG Inicis.

KG Inicis processes over 400 million transactions annually and holds ~40% of Korea’s payment gateway market-giving Crypto.com instant access to regulated, real-world financial infrastructure.

Tourists avoid foreign exchange and card fees; merchants settle in fiat or crypto. Both firms will explore co-marketing, new products, and regulatory-compliant expansion.

This move signals South Korean regulators’ growing comfort with crypto when layered atop supervised financial rails-even as the country tightens Travel Rule enforcement and advances spot Bitcoin ETFs and stablecoin frameworks.
