Amazon CEO Andy Jassy told employees in an internal all-hands meeting that artificial intelligence could propel Amazon Web Services to $600 billion in annual revenue by 2036-double his prior $300 billion projection.

Jassy said he had previously expected AWS to reach a $300 billion run rate in about 10 years. He now believes AI gives AWS a path to at least double that figure.

AWS generated $128.7 billion in sales in 2025, up 19% from 2024. That implies an average compound annual growth rate of nearly 17% over the next decade.

Amazon declined to elaborate on revenue drivers or distribution. Shares rose 1% to $213.87.
