Transport Canada has certified General Dynamics’ Gulfstream G500 and G600 business jets. This move follows trade pressure from U.S. President Donald Trump.
The government confirmed the certification of the G500 and G600 on February 15. However, certification for the Gulfstream G700 and G800 models remains pending, with potential de-icing concerns being investigated.
Transport Canada stated that discussions are ongoing with the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration regarding the certification of other aircraft.
