Australian tech firm Firmus Technologies, which started in Bitcoin mining, is now a Cloud Partner on Nvidia's DGX Cloud Lepton marketplace. This gives developers access to Firmus' GPU clusters in Singapore and Australia through Nvidia's platform.

The partnership centers on Project Southgate, a collaboration with Nvidia and CDC Data Centres to build large-scale AI factories. The main site in Melbourne will host around 18,500 Nvidia GB300 GPUs, with launches starting in 2026.

Firmus plans over $70 billion in capacity across Australia, targeting major enterprise and sovereign clients. The company recently closed a $505 million funding round at a $5.5 billion valuation, led by Coatue Management with Nvidia participating. Total equity raised now stands at $1.35 billion.

In 2026, Firmus also secured a $10 billion debt facility, bringing its total financing to over $11 billion.
